By Road: From SH 10 north of Kerikeri, turn onto Kapiro rd. follow for 2 km then turn L onto Purerua rd. After 7 km rd turns into gravel, continue 4 km. turn L onto Rangihoua rd, follow for 7 km. branch R onto Hansen rd, continue 1 km and take first drive on R, no 88A-E. Follow 'Hackett Slipway' signs to the slipway, which is on the South side of Opete Creek. We are 88D, which is about where the R is in 'The Range' !
By Boat: Proceed north up Te Puna inlet, branch R into Pokoura inlet, and another right turn into Opete creek. Head towards corner post of oyster farm, then bear left and keep channel markers close on port side, then make a right turn between red and green markers. Once channel markers end, continue across to the slipway and wharf which is in sight.
